Linda and Ruthie's Visit Part II

We know you have all been waiting patiently for our next set of pics. We have so many, but we chose a few choice ones to let you know what we are up to. We have been very fortunate to have had sunny weather in the 50s all week except for our first day (when Rich was with us.)

Here we are at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich overlooking the city of London. This is the place where it is 0 degrees longitude! You can actually stand with one foot in the Eastern Hemisphere and one foot in the Western Hemisphere!

WE enjoyed afternoon tea in Windsor at the Crooked House built in the 1500s!

We get everywhere by taking the tube. There are over 400 tube stops in London. This picture shows a part of the tube but no train. (Pics of trains on another day.)

Here in Windsor we saw the changing of the Queen's Guard. (These guys never smile. Ruthie said "They're on duty!")

Ruthie in the pod on the London Eye - a giant ferris wheel (about 400 feet high) built by British Air and it takes about 35 minutes to go 360 degrees.

Another view from the London Eye - this ferris wheel holds about 400 people with 15 - 20 people in a pod.

Here you can see the pod nearest to us and also a view of the Thames and Westminister Abbey.

We couldn't get in but we stood in front of Buckingham Palace - home of the Queen!
