Hall of Maps in the Vatican Museums. All the pictures on the ceiling are hand painted. It took 12 years.



St. Peter's Basilica. The 2nd largest basilica in the world. They just built a bigger one in India.


Looking at St. Peter's Basilica from St. Peter's Square. They have their own post office, fire department and have no taxes. 900 residents and almost 9000 full time workers who live outside.


World famous Trevi Fountain. Built in 1762. The Aquaduct supplying the water has been used since Roman times.

On our way to the Colosseum standing at the Emanuele Vittorio Monument.


Inside the Colosseum. We had large crowds but it was well worth it. They told us during the opening 10 days around AD 80, 5000 animals were killed during the games. I had to go home and watch Gladiator again.
